Cute Date Ideas for Valentine's Day!!

Hello my Valentine's!! I hope you all have a marvelous Valentine's Day on Sunday, and maybe you can get some ideas from this post. You can do these with your Significant Other, or with your besties if you're single (like me!) Let's get right into it!

• Bake treats

What's better thank just hanging with someone you love (or like, or can barely stand, whatever)? The answer: hanging with someone you love, with fresh homemade baked goods. Even if they come out awful, it'll still be super fun, and you can laugh at your fails.

• Go ice skating

This date is so super cute. You can go indoors if you live somewhere warmer, or you can go outside if it's freezing where you live (like where I live). You can hold on to your sweetie if you're having trouble, and even if you can skate fine, you can fake having trouble. It works like a charm, I promise. 

• Explore a local city

It doen't even have to be a big city. You can walk around with your babe, and the snow will start to fall, and you'll snuggle close. Then you can go get coffee/hot chocolate at a quaint little coffee shop, and people watch. *sigh*

• Go on a hike

Okay, I'll admit this is not my ideal date, as it involves exercise and I'm more of a potato. For some people though, this might be right up your alley. 

• Walk on the beach

I had to include this stereotypical date, sorry. It's stereotypical for a reason though, because almost everyone loves it. It's relaxing, and a great date for old and new couples/friends as there would be plenty of time to talk.

Liebster Award!!!

Hi guys!!! This week, I have some really cool news! My blog was nominated for a Libster Award (squeeeeee)!!! To be honest, I didn't know what this was when Dottie first nominated me, but it's an award to raise awareness of small bloggers. Basically, someone nominates you, you answer 11 questions that the nominator posts, then you nominate 11 bloggers, and create 11 questions for them to answer. If you're confused, check out Dottie's blog because she explains it really well.

Dottie's questions for me:

1. What would be your desert island album? (Basically if you could only listen to one album for the rest of time, what would it be?)
Ack this is so extremely hard to choose!! I have like three favorite albums, but I would have to say Electra Heart by Marina and the Diamonds. It's soooooo good!

2. What is your favourite quote, and why?
“So, I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.”
This quote is from The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which is one of the best books in the entire universe. I love this quote because it reminds me that the past does not define a person, and we always can choose our future and have control over what's to come.

3. What three people do you look up to the most, and why?
*My best friend: She grew up with a pretty dysfunctional family, and because of that had a horrible childhood, but she is one of the most optimistic, loving, and generous people I know and I think she's really inspiring and I love her to pieces.
*The biology teacher I had last year: She's like the older sister I never had, without the arguing. She gives great advice, and she's the coolest adult I know.
*My dad: He's kind to everyone and he's funny (he makes dad jokes funny somehow).

4. What was the last whole album you purchased?
Badlands by Halsey

5. If you could see any band (ever to exist) live, what band would it be, and why?
Probably Passenger because I've seen him live before and he's such an incredible live performer and so down to Earth and entertaining.

6. Coffee shop or restaurant, and why? 
Coffee shop because I like pastries and coffee more than like dinner food.

7. Do you prefer going to the cinema, or watching movies at home?
I don't like movies that much; I find it hard to pay attention during the whole thing.

8. What medium is best for playing music (vinyl, CD, iTunes, tape...)?
I like iTunes personally.

9. Do you have a "usual" drink in a coffee shop? Yes, a Caramel Macchiato

10. What three words would you use to describe your style?
Hmm, I would say varied, girly, and grunge.

11. Why did you start your blog, and how do you want it's future to be (e.g. professional, personal, etc.) ?
I started my blog as something to do to distract myself from the impending doom of my freshman year of high school. Honestly, I haven't really thought of its future, but I want it to stay personal.

Where Have I Been

Hi lovelies! I'm sososososo sorry for the super long break from blogging, and for just disappearing. I was very busy during the holidays spending time with family and friends. After the holidays, I had school which was super crazy because it was the week before midterms, so I had a ton of work, projects, and studying to do. Last week, I had my midterms and I was busy studying, so I didn't have any time to write posts. I know it's been a really long time, but I promise I'm going back to posting every Friday now. You guys are the best!! I've missed blogging so much, and I'm so glad to be back!

Tall Girl Problems

Hi sweethearts! I hope you're having a wonderful Friday. So, if you're tall, you'll completely feel this post. I'm with ya.

1. "Do you play basketball?"
2. Having to walk slower so the people you're with can keep up.
3. Talking to/ hugging/ basically anything with people who are at "boob height".
4. Dancng and/or stretching and hitting the celing fan.
5. Getting yelled at because all skirts and dresses are so damn short on you.
6. Having your head cut off in a mirror selfie.
7. Having to decide whether to crouch down or awkwardly tower over your friends when you take pictures
8. "You have the height to be a model."
9. Having to fight your friends for shotgun, and eventually playing the height card.
10. Trying to find a store that carries long jeans in store so you can try them on.

Even with these problems, I gotta say, I love being tall. What about you guys?
